Hello Friends!
We had a gorgeous Memorial Day weekend (for the most part) and have been setting up my patio for summer. I bought lots of flowers at the garden center, put out a new indoor/outdoor rug, and the hummingbirds are coming to my feeder!
I’ve been teaching Kundalini to a great group of students and prepping for my Nourishing Toolkit workshop, as well as my 1:1 clients. My book edits are coming along as well.
Summer is my favorite season and I’m looking forward to working on these projects and spending time at the beach and up in the lakes region in Maine. I hope you have some fun plans for summer too!
Today I’m sharing a poem with you. It’s called Joy Chose You, by Donna Ashworth.
Joy does not arrive with a fanfare on a red carpet strewn with the flowers of a perfect life joy sneaks in as you pour a cup of coffee watching the sun hit your favourite tree just right and you usher joy away because you are not ready for her your house is not as it should be for such a distinguished guest but joy, you see cares nothing for your messy home, or your bank balance or your waistline joy is supposed to slither through the cracks of your imperfect life that’s how joy works you cannot truly invite her you can only be ready when she appears and hug her with meaning because in this very moment joy chose you.

Quote of the week: "A man once told Buddha, 'I want happiness.' The Buddha replied, 'First remove the "I", that is the ego. Then remove the "want", that is desire. And now all you are left with is Happiness'"-Anonymous
